Permafrost is a paid Early Access survival game from SpaceRocket Games, published by Toplitz Productions. It launched for Windows on Steam, GOG and Epic on 9 October 2026. You play as Rook in a frozen 2035, alone or with up to three friends, scavenging, crafting, and building shelters.
I opened the Steam store page and the publisher page on 14 October 2026 before writing this. The Windows build is live, the list price is $24.99, and a 20% launch discount shows $19.99 through 23 October 2026. I did not find a legal browser build to embed, so the buttons above go to the download page and the beginner guide instead of a fake playable demo.
What is playable right now
Windows Early Access is available on Steam, GOG and Epic. No native Mac or Linux build is listed. PS5 is announced on PlayStation Store without a release date; Xbox, PS4 and Switch remain unconfirmed in the checked sources. The publisher describes a 2035 setting after the Moon shatters.

The store page answers “is it out” and “what does it cost.” It does not walk you through flint, scrap, fast travel, or a friend who cannot join. Those pages are linked from the cards above.
