Permafrost Release Date: Early Access Out Now

Permafrost is out in Windows Early Access on Steam, GOG and Epic Games Store since 9 October 2026. This is not the finished 1.0 release. A PS5 version is announced, but its PlayStation Store listing has no date yet.
I rechecked the publisher delay announcement and the live PC product pages on 14 October 2026. Toplitz explicitly moved the intended 21 August release to 9 October in a 17 July announcement. The Steam record confirms the actual release date.

How long Early Access is planned to last
The store’s Early Access FAQ says the team expects at least 12 months to add biomes, quests, mechanics, quality-of-life work, and technical fixes. The full version is described as a wider world: new biomes, quests, NPCs, enemies, gear, and vehicles. The same FAQ says the price is likely to rise during Early Access, with 1.0 priced higher than the launch discount.
What they say is already in: several biomes, hundreds of items, building blueprints, crafting recipes, the start of the story plus side quests, and 4-player co-op.
